The Board of LeFlore County Commissioners met Monday, October 7, 2024, for their regular weekly meeting. All three commissioners were present at the meeting. County Clerk First Deputy Jedd Kirby was also present.

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jamie Oliver.

The minutes of last week’s meeting were approved as were the purchase orders presented, and the monthly fee report as presented by the LeFlore County Clerk, Court Clerk, Election Board, and Public Health departments. These reports are on file in the County Clerk’s office.

The commissioners approved Assignment of Lease concerning SOS Fire Equipment, LLC and The Community State Bank, and 120 B Lease Purchase Agreement between the Board of County Commissioners of LeFlore County and The Community State Bank regarding the purchase of a 2004 Sterling Fire Truck for $89,801.65, with a 120-month term. Monthly payments will be $970.51. The Summerfield Fire Department.

The Board appointed Tabitha Young as a member of the LeFlore County Board of Health.

By unanimous vote, the Board selected Circuit Engineering District #3 for bridge inspections as approved by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) for LeFlore County.

The commissioners also approved the corrected Lease Purchase Agreement with First National Bank for the purchase of a 2010 Ford F550 for $69,650 for Bokoshe Fire Department. The original agreement had the model year as 2009.

The Board approved a claim for $367,000 for the 35449(04) Lake Access Grant at Lake Wister provided by ODOT.

Vallard Campbell was appointed to serve on the CED #3 Board of Directors with Jamie Oliver as 1st alternate and Josh Blaylock as 2nd alternate.

The Board approved the Treasurer’s Monthly Report of Officers for September.

The item regarding Drug Court District 16 request for abatement grant funding for the purpose of purchasing one (1) to two (2) transport vehicles was tabled.

A resolution determining maximum monthly highway expenditures for the month of October 2024 was approved.

A resolution determining maximum monthly use-tax highway expenditures for the month of October 2024 was approved.
