PRESS RELEASE From Vera Nelson, Talihina Chamber

As we get back into the swing of things we need to think about the upcoming elections.  In these troubled times we need to get out and vote for the person who we feel will do the best job for us and our country.

You will have a chance to visit with the candidates for our area and also hear what they plan to do if elected; The Talihina Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center will host a Candidate Speaking, June 19, at 6:30 pm at the Talihina Grade School Gym Parking Lot.

Be sure and bring your Lawn Chairs.  If it rains we will move into the Gym.

There will also be a Pancake Supper, Auction and Drawings for $200.00 in food.

AJ Butcher Block in Buffalo Valley has donated a $100.00 meat package that includes two 12oz Ribeye Steaks, two 16 oz. Sirloin Steaks, one 2lb Pork Chops, one 2lb ham Steaks, one 5lb French Fries, one 1lb Smoked Sausage and two pounds of Bacon. Need to call ahead so that they can have it ready for you when you come to pick it up. While you are there welcome this new business into the area.

Rhonda Sears with Treats and Treasures has donated a $25.00 gift certificate for produce.  Rhonda has been bringing in quality produce after our grocery store burned.

Frances Williams, Owner of TaliMena Mercantile has donated a $25.00 Gift Certificate for this event.  You can use it on any purchase in her store including meat and produce.  Frances has been bringing meat into her store after the grocery store burned.  Both Frances and Rhonda have made sacrifices for the area to see that we get the meat and produce we need to stay healthy and well fed.

We also have a $25.00 Gift Card from Walmart. Walmart is very supportive by donating to the chambers events.
