While a student at CASC, Kim was in the Miss CASC pageant and a member of the basketball program. The Wilsons have two children. His wife Becky has served as President of the CASC Auxiliary and as a Trustee of the CASC Development Foundation, and they have also participated in the Adopt-A-Scholar program for many years.
Mick first established an Endowed Professorship in Business in memory of his father G.T. “Dick” LaFevers and later endowed a Professorship in Nursing in memory of his mother Veronica LaFevers. In 2015, Mick and his brother, David, donated their father’s 60-acre farm property to CASC, which adjoins the college campus. Mick and his wife Becky reside in Poteau. He has two children, Michelle and Patrick; four grandchildren, Jaci, Taylor, Blake and Makayle; and three great grandchildren, Quinn, Hudson and Tanyan.
Executive Director of the CASC Development Foundation Mandy Roberts stated, “All of those honored, including the Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond Club inductees, are the heart of the Foundation. They generously donate their resources and time to provide scholarships, endowed professorships, dormitories and opportunities for CASC, its faculty and students to succeed."
Carl Albert State College President Jay Falkner had the honor of presenting the Statue of Liberty Award and also led the induction and presentation of the 2017 Hall of Fame Awards. When discussing the success of the evening President Falkner stated, “It was great to have so many Carl Albert State College friends with us to celebrate the contributions of the Hoffmans, Wilsons, and LaFevers.” President Falkner concluded, "Evenings like this highlight the importance of the partnership between the College and our community.
