The Brooklyn Elayna Deleplank Memorial Scholarship was established at Carl Albert State College by her parents, Bill and Bobbi Deleplank.

Brooklyn is warmly remembered as an outgoing and fun-loving girl who loved to play basketball and spend time with her friends.

She was a straight “A” student and dreamt of attending medical school to be an oncologist. Along with her parents, Brooklyn is survived by three younger brothers including Billy II, Trajan, and Ryker.

Her memorial scholarship is awarded to LeFlore County students who are interested in pursuing a medical career.

The 2019 recipients of the Brooklyn Elayna Deleplank Memorial Scholarship are: Collin Simkins of Panama; Haley Powers of Poteau; Laney May of Heavener; and Morgan Mattox of Cameron.
