Second in the Series Scheduled for March 21, 2017
The Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) at Carl Albert State College is presenting a four part workshop series entitled “The Adult ABCs of Entering College and Technical School.”
The second in the series is scheduled for Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at the Patrick Lynch Public Library. CASC EOC Coordinator Kelly Kellogg shared, “This workshop will be from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.” She continued, “This second workshop explores learning styles and study tips. The goal of the workshop series is to provide adults with information and resources to feel confident in continuing their education.”
According to Kellogg, the workshops are free, and each monthly workshop will cover a specific topic concerning the process and preparation of entering a postsecondary program.
Kellogg explained, “The workshops will be in a relaxed, informal environment. This time, free cookies will be provided from Cakes & More. EOC welcomes everyone to explore the various aspects of learning and related study ideas that can be utilized in and outside of the classroom.”
Educational Opportunity Center is one of the TRIO programs housed at Carl Albert State College, and is funded 100% by the U.S. Department of Education.
The EOC program budget is $510,799 and serves 1675 participants.
