The city of Poteau, along with the LeFlore County Museum, is proud to present “Celebrate America Poteau Style!” starting at 6pm in downtown Poteau on July 4, 2025. Come out and enjoy the many vendors and activities as well as live music. Everyone is invited to attend. Be sure to bring your lawn chair and watch the spectacular Fireworks Show which will start around 9pm.
Celebrate America Poteau Style will take place in the Poteau City Hall Parking lot and along Dewey Avenue. DJ Ciara Oare will be onsite with her music machine, and the 2025 Poteau Idol, Clay Grant, will be doing a live music performance at the 222 on Dewey (formally the Pocket Park.) There will be a water slide and bounce house for the kids as well as a mechanical bull (yes, we want to see your video and pictures) and plenty of vendors selling food and other items. Hippy Hill will be back this year and will have kettle corn, snocones, and various lemonade flavors for sale.
New this year is Bingo at the LeFlore County Museum (303 Dewey Avenue). Admission will be $10.00 for the first card and $5.00 for additional cards. We will start bingo about 6:00 as a come-and-stay or a come-and-go event. We will finish in time for you to get a good seat for viewing the fireworks.
Register to win a bicycle. At 8pm one boy’s bike and one girl’s bike will be given away. Be listening for the DJ to make the announcement. The bicycles are sponsored by Holt Funeral Home. It’s free to register for a ticket for the bike at the LeFlore County Museum (303 Dewey Avenue). Registration begins Tuesday, July 1st during regular hours 11 AM-3 PM. The winners do not have to be present (just make sure the phone number on the registration form is written clearly so we can let you know how to pick up your prize).
This year we will also give away a 65-inch smart television. The drawing will be at 8pm. Be sure you are listening to the DJ for the announcement of the winner. The TV is sponsored by Fields Insurance Agency. Tickets for the TV drawing are $5.00 for one ticket or 5 tickets for $20.00.
