POCOLA, Okla. (Nov. 25, 2024)- Foodies will have the chance to enjoy a four-course meal from a celebrity chef when Jet Tila takes over Seven Ponies restaurant inside Choctaw Casino & Resort – Pocola in December!
Tila is a staple of Food Network, where he can often be seen judging, hosting and competing on Chopped, Tournament of Champions, Ready Jet Cook and Iron Chef America, as well as many other shows.
The celebrity chef is a best-selling author, James Beard award winner and Emmy nominee who grew up learning to cook Thai food before attending French and Japanese culinary schools. The Royal Thai Consulate named Tila Culinary Ambassador of Thai Cuisine, making him the first ever chef to represent his country’s culture and cuisine. Tila is the VP Culinary of Pei Wei Group and the managing partner of Dragon Tiger Noodle Co. in Las Vegas.
Tila will be taking over Seven Ponies Restaurant inside Choctaw Casino & Resort – Pocola on Saturday, Dec. 28 and Sunday, Dec. 29 with seatings at 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. each night. Every guest will receive a copy of Tila’s book “101 Asian Dishes You Need To Cook Before You Die.” Tickets are $125 per person and can be purchased here.
Tila will make appearances in the dining room throughout the evening, while also working with Choctaw’s chefs to prepare his signature dishes. The meal will start with Kobe beef tartare followed by Hamachi chili yellowtail sashimi. The main course is a hoisin mustard beef and a black cod misoyaki. Guests will finish the night with a Thai tea banana split.
Those attending Sunday’s early seating can follow up their meal with a free concert at Centerstage where Hong Ngoc & the New Wave will be performing at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m.
