Choctaw Nation Success Center Cultural and Movie Night at CASC Featured

The Choctaw Nation Career Development Center at Carl Albert State College hosted a cultural and movie night on March 28, 2017. According to Career Counselor Jennifer Roberts, around 100 people attended.

 

“We had our local stickball players and dancers, along with Miss Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Karen Crosby and some of the CASC Choctaw success students. We were also pleased to have District 4 princesses Jr Miss Jady Cossey and Little Miss Gracie Mattox in attendance.” Roberts continued, “We played stickball, danced, enjoyed a picnic, and showed a movie outdoors.”

 

Roberts shared that Choctaw staff members at the event were herself, Cynthia and Bryan Martin, and David Billy. She expressed appreciation to CASC staff for their help including CASC President Jay Falkner, Choctaw Nation College & Career Retention Success Coach Sharona Farmer, CASC VP of Student Affairs Randy Graves, and CASC VP of Academic Affairs Marc Willis.

 

Roberts explained that CASC recently worked with Choctaw Nation and the Career Development Center to set up a new stickball field on the CASC campus.
