A personal injury collision occurred June 5, 2020, at 11:57 A.M. on SH31 4/10 mile east of CR4470, 6 miles west of McCurtain, OK.
According to the OHP report, a 2006 Chrysler 300, driven by a 17-year-old male of Keota, OK, and a John Deere tractor, driven by Crystal Smith, 39, of Keota, OK, were both westbound on SH31. The Chrysler started to pass the tractor and struck the tractor’s driver’s side rear tire, causing both vehicles to depart the roadway.
Smith was transported by Pafford EMS to Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, AR, where she was admitted in stable condition with head, trunk internal, trunk external, arm and leg injuries.
The cause of collision was reported as Passing without sufficient clearance
Investigated by OHP and assisted by members of Haskell County Sheriff’s Office, Lequire Fire Department, McCurtain Fire Department, and Pafford EMS.
