We have missed a couple of weeks of the commissioners’ corner, I apologize. I was able to attend meetings in Oklahoma City for newly elected county commissioners. Great information and networking opportunities at the capitol. We are back in the swing of things now.
This past week we laid asphalt on Yellowsprings Road in the Summerfield area. The Railroad Yard out of Stillwater was awarded the bid to complete the bridge project on Gap Creek Road on Bud French Road and has been busy at work. They finished pouring the deck on the bridge.
We are continuing the push-out fence rows that run parallel to the county roads. If you would like us to come look at fence rows to have them considered to have them added to the list to have them pushed out please call the office so we can come look at them. The list is long but we are working our way through it.
The Leflore County Historical Society’s Fantasy Forest Christmas Tree Voting has begun at the museum. District 2 has a tree in the race so make sure you get out and go give the trees a look. Voting continues until Christmas Eve.
If you missed the Wister parade you missed out. Great community pride comes together and the weather was great!
If you see roads that need a patch crew, please call and let us know. We miss areas and can get out and fix areas if you will let us know.
Tune into KPRV 92.5 on Wednesday mornings between 7:00 A.M. and 7:10 A.M for my weekly radio commissioners corner.
