I hope everyone had a great 4th of July! Wister Parade was great as always. Downtown Poteau event was great as well. The vendors that came out, the bingo at the museum, food trucks and more. Kudos to David, Shona and everyone who made the event so good.
Several people asked me why I would be in the parade or sponsor the event downtown when it’s “not an election year?” If we don’t help with events like these then who will? Then what will our kids do? If you have the opportunity, always help with these events.
We will be out this week working on areas that need attention, I know areas like Smith Road need attention but we are trying to get some roads open that have been closed because of spring storms. Please be patient we are getting there. They are on the list.
Our patch crews will be out this week patching, as well as brush hog crews. Please be mindful of them if you see them working.
