We are off this week for the holidays.
I want to take the time to address an issue we get several phones calls a week about. We recently purchased 4 trucks from the sheriff’s department. You will see crews out using those trucks to drive to different jobs, such as painting culverts. When you see them on the side of the road and wonder where the OHP trucks came from, they are not OHP trucks. They are repurposed trucks from the Leflore County Sheriff’s Department. We did leave the lights to help slow people down and help with the safety of our guys. We to like to get home safely to our families each night.
Make a note that the Leflore County Historical Society’s Fantasy Forest Christmas Tree Voting starts on December 7th at the LeFlore County Museum in downtown Poteau. District 2 has a tree in the race so make sure you get out and go give the trees a look.
I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving. Take the time to enjoy time with family or friends and go into the week with an attitude of gratitude and see where it takes you.
If you see roads that need a patch crew, please call and let us know. We miss areas and can get out and fix areas if you will let us know.
Tune into KPRV 92.5 on Wednesday mornings between 7:00 A.M. and 7:10 A.M for my weekly radio commissioners corner.
As with all the districts in Leflore County, we do not have a District Facebook page but if you have a concern about roads in District 2 please call the shop at (918)647-3600 or email us at leflored2@leflorehwy.com. Our hours are Monday through Thursday 6:30 A.M.- 4:30 P.M.
