Welcome to my weekly commissioners’ corner. The weekly commissioners meeting is Monday at 9:00 A.M. at the courthouse. The Presidental Election is tomorrow, Tuesday. Please ensure you have taken the time to get out and cast your vote. If you are still undecided, open your Bible and see where it directs you.

We are getting some much-needed rain. With rain sometimes comes storms. Watch Oklahoma Welcome or the Leflore County Emergency Management page for updates. If you see water over roads, Turn Around Don’t Drown.

We finished a couple projects this past week We will be moving to Calhoun Road as soon as the weather permits. Reminder one end of Gassaway Loop is closed while the highway department replaces the bridge on State Highway 83.

This next weekend is the Annual Veterans Day Parade in Poteau. Beforehand you can head to the museum for amazing pancakes from 7AM to 9AM. You don’t want to miss out!

If you see roads that need a patch crew, please call and let us know. We miss areas and can get out and fix areas if you will let us know.
