Submitted by Josh Blaylock, LeFlore County Commissioner, District 2
Welcome to my weekly commissioner’s corner.
The weekly commissioners’ meeting is Monday at 9:00 A.M. at the courthouse. It is very dry at the moment. Even though we are not under a burn ban as of time I wrote this article, please use extreme caution. We have rain in the forecast starting Wednesday; I am praying that happens. We all need it.
We were able to lay asphalt on 292nd Street in Poteau, in front of the Church of Christ as well as East Branson in Poteau. We finished Rockjail Road in Panama. We will be moving to Calhoun Road soon. Remember that one end of Gassaway Loop is closed while the highway department replaces the bridge on State Highway 83.
Also remember that this is Halloween week. Watch for kids who are out Trick or Treating. There are several Trunk or Treat options around town as well if you are looking for another option for your kids too.
If you see roads that need a patch crew, please call and let us know. We miss areas and can get out and fix areas if you will let us know.
Tune into KPRV 92.5 on Wednesday mornings between 7:00 A.M. and 7:10 A.M for my weekly radio commissioners corner.
As with all the districts in Leflore County, we do not have a District Facebook page but if you have a concern about roads in District 2 please call the shop at (918)647-3600 or email us at leflored2@leflorehwy.com, Our hours are Monday through Thursday 6:30 A.M.- 4:30 P.M.
