Congratulations to Colton Davis, winner of the 2018 Oklahoma Association of Career and Technology Education Awards Design Contest!
His design will be featured at the annual Oklahoma Career Tech Summer Conference in August.
Davis used Blender software to create an award meant to "represent the designer’s creativity and showcase the cutting-edge technology of CTE" and will 3D Print multiple copies to be presented to award winners in Oklahoma City in August.
Davis is a junior at Poteau High School, and a member of the afternoon Education Accelerated by Service and Technology (EAST) program at Kiamichi Technology Center in Poteau.
Kiamichi Technology Centers has been an integral part of the communities in southeastern Oklahoma since 1968, serving ten full counties and parts of three other counties.
KTC is part of the Oklahoma CareerTech system and is one of 29 districts within the state.
KTC has more than 30 career programs, and offers a wide variety of evening and weekend short-term courses as well as certifications in many diverse career fields.
KTC serves nearly 23,000 individuals each year, including many area companies who receive training through the Business and Industry Services Division that works with over 400 businesses each year.
