WILBURTON, Oklahoma – Eastern Oklahoma State College has announced the hiring of Dr. Anna Peery as the new Vice President of Student Affairs.
Peery began her academic journey at Eastern before transferring to Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English education. She went on to earn a master’s degree in educational leadership from East Central University and a doctorate in educational leadership and administration from Southern Nazarene University.
With more than a decade of experience in education, including roles as a teacher, principal and superintendent, Peery brings a strong commitment to student success, leadership development and expanding opportunities that support both academic achievement and personal growth.
“Dr. Peery’s passion for education and her proven leadership experience make her a tremendous addition to Eastern’s leadership team,” said Dr. Randy Harp, EOSC president. “She understands the importance of fostering student engagement and creating a supportive environment where students can thrive both in and out of the classroom.”
Peery said she is looking forward to returning to her roots at Eastern and contributing to the college’s mission.
“Eastern was where my own academic and professional journey began, and I am honored to serve the students of this institution,” Peery said. “I am committed to building community, cultivating a sense of belonging, and enhancing student life so that every student feels supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.”
