WILBURTON, OK (Jan. 17, 2017) – Eastern Oklahoma State College’s scholarship applications for the 2017-18 academic year are due by Feb. 21 at 5 p.m. Current and prospective students planning to attend Eastern in the fall are encouraged to submit their scholarship application online; however, paper applications will also be accepted.
“Applying for scholarships is an important step in our students’ pursuit of a college degree,” said Scholarship Coordinator Gail Wilson. “While Eastern continues to be an affordable option for higher education in Oklahoma, scholarship funds allow students to focus more on their studies and earn their degree on time.”
Scholarships are typically awarded based on financial need, major or academic excellence. For the current academic year, Eastern awarded nearly $475,000 to 192 students attending classes in Wilburton, McAlester, Idabel and Antlers.
All applications are reviewed by a scholarship committee and students receiving scholarships will be notified this spring.
The scholarship application and additional information, including a step-by-step user guide, can be found at www.eosc.edu/scholarships
