Poteau Chamber of Commerce hosted Cruise Night in Poteau April 7th. The 2023 monthly First Friday Cruise Night brought out the old, the new, the jeeps, and even ATV’s to participate in the event, which started off with a parade down Broadway Street from the Park Center parking lot to Bud’s Country Junction and back.

Parking lots along Broadway were filled with people sitting out watching the Cruise Parade. For many locals it was a time of reminiscing about the “good old days” with several vintage vehicles cruising through town.

Among the vehicles involved in Cruise Night, were three locals who brought out their vehicles to “show them off” to the public.

Bob and Pat Branson of Poteau brought out their 2004 Thunderbird. Two thousand and four was the last year that the Thunderbird was made.

John bought the truck when he was 14 years old. He traded a horse and $100.00 for it about 57 years ago and has owned it ever since.
