My birthday is coming up and this is what I want for my birthday – to get Don a new buckle.
Don W Smith won the calf roping at Cheyenne in 1975. His buckle was stolen several years ago. We are raising the money to get him a new one. He helped me with my roping when I was a kid. I went to college on rodeo scholarships. He’s always been good to me. He’s helped a lot of guys around this area over the years.
Charles McCall is a former Speaker of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, running for governor. He is coming.
There is also another special guest coming. I don’t have permission to say his name, but I’m taking my guitar to be autographed.
