Do you know the words to the Poteau High School Fight Song?
As the Poteau High School Reunion gets underway on September 1 and 2nd, I thought I would take time and print the Poteau High School Fight Song.
How many former and current students know the words?
I will admit, I graduated Poteau in 1981, but it wasn’t until around 2006 that I even knew the words.
I also think it would be fun if the alumni got together and sang the fight song at the reunion.
The reunion get together will start at 10:00am Sept 2, 2023 at the Donald W Reynolds Cneter in Poteau.
6:00pm – 10:00pm, Dinner & Dance (live music)
All this fun and there’s NO CHARGE!! (Cash bar will be available). Some classes will have individual events during the weekend.
Pirate Classes of 76 through the 1980’s- will gather Friday, September 1 at 6pm at Western Sizzlin in the banquet room. Catch up with old friends. No charge (unless you purchase food or drinks)
On Friday evening there is also a concert in Pocket Park on Dewey Avenue from 6pm until 9pm. Remember to bring a lawn chair.
Its also Cruise Night in Poteau
The LeFlore County Museum, located on Dewey Avenue will be open Friday, September 1st from 11am until 3pm and then again from 6pm until 9pm and then open Saturday, Sept 2nd from 11am until 3pm. Stop by and look at the Poteau Alumni Room and reminisce about days gone by.

I BELIEVE IN Poteau High School in the things for which she stands, health in body, honest work, generous comradeship, and reverence for the spiritual.
I believe in achievement, and I pray for forcefulness to accomplish what I sent out to do.
I believe in loyalty to our school and our traditions. I pledge upon my honor to help in all her undertakings in all that will make her a stronger and nobler school.
