According to a report filed by OHP, a fatality collision occurred February 6th at 10:30 AM 4.5 miles west of Okarche, OK in Canadian County.
Dereck Goodmanson of Heavener was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado southbound and failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a 2013 Kenworth driven by Shannon Davila of Guthrie which was eastbound. The report states that the pickup spun and departed the roadway to the north. The Kenworth departed the roadway to the south and rolled ¾ times coming to a rest on the driver side of the vehicle.
Goodmanson was transported by Kingfisher Fire and EMS to Kingfisher Mercy hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 12:14 PM from injuries sustained in the accident.
Davila was transported from the scene by Kingfisher Fire and EMS to Kingfisher Mercy Hospital where he was treated and released for minor injuries.
Investigated by Kingfisher County detachment of Troop J with assistance of Okarche Police Department, Okarche Fire department, Kingfisher County Sheriff’s office, and Kingfisher Fire/EMS.
