Hello friends, my name is Jamie Oliver and I am running for District #3 County Commissioner. My wife, Jodi, and I have 4 children and live in Heavener.
I have been employed by Kansas City Southern for 18 years and have volunteered in the Operation Lifesaver program with them for the last 4 years. Being a hometown born and raised, I love serving in all areas of the community. I serve on the Heavener Volunteer Fire Department as well as the Leflore County EMS Board. Growing up here gives me an even greater motivation to work alongside others for the good of our county. With the recent changes in the economy, I understand it has been difficult to complete the tasks at hand, due to the difficulty of getting supplies and material. I will work with others as efficiently as possible to meet the needs of the people, maintain our roads, and manage county business. I believe the best way to fix a problem is by listening and responsibly using the resources we have to work with to get things done. I know people will have concerns, and issues will arise, and I will do my best by facing these head on.
