WIBURTON, Okla. – Kiamichi Tech is proud to announce that Kelsey Petty, one of our outstanding team members at the district administration office in Wilburton, has been selected as a 2025 NextGen Under 30 Award honoree. This prestigious recognition is awarded to young professionals across Oklahoma who have demonstrated exceptional talent, leadership and a commitment to making a positive impact in their communities.    

Petty is the business manager at Kiamichi Tech, but her impact extends beyond the financial realm. Through her diligence and strategic mindset, she ensures that Kiamichi Tech’s financial processes support students, staff, and communities across southeast Oklahoma.   

“Kelsey’s positive attitude and willingness to help make her a true asset to our organization. She is not only a skilled business manager but also a collaborative team player who fosters a culture of efficiency and excellence,” said Shelley Free, Superintendent at Kiamichi Tech. “Her fresh perspective and problem-solving abilities enhance our operations, and her leadership is shaping the future of Kiamichi Tech.”    

Petty was recognized at the NextGen Under 30 Award Ceremony at the State Capitol on Monday, September 8, 2025, and will be honored again at the NextGen Award Ceremony on Friday, November 14, 2025, at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Norman, OK. These events will celebrate her outstanding achievements alongside other distinguished honorees from across the state.
