WILBURTON, Okla. – The Oklahoma Association of School Administrators (OASA) is pleased to announce Shelley Free, Kiamichi Tech Superintendent, as the 2025 OASA District 20 Superintendent of the Year and Shelley Ebert, Kiamichi Tech – Idabel Campus Director, as the OASA District 20 Central Office Administrator of the Year. Ebert and Free will be recognized at the Cooperative Council for Oklahoma School Administration (CCOSA) Summer Leadership Conference on June 11-13, 2025.
OASA annually recognizes outstanding administrators who:
· demonstrate successful experience in top level educational administration
· have a sound, dynamic and realistic philosophy of education
· can inspire and motivate people and give support and recognition for the contributions of others
· have a record which evidences continued professional and personal growth through appropriate training and experiences including skills in human relations and the stamina to cope with the pressures of the job
· have the ability to speak for education on all levels with special emphasis on the district level
· have made contributions to educational administration

OASA has 20 Districts that consist of multiple counties. Eligible OASA members are nominated and selected by their peers in their OASA District.
Kiamichi Technology Centers (Kiamichi Tech) has played a significant role in the growth of southeast Oklahoma communities since 1968, serving nine full and four partial counties. With a mission to ‘Prepare People for Success,” Kiamichi Tech meets local workforce needs through full-time career training programs, short-term courses and customized training for businesses. The District is led by the vision and guidance of Superintendent Shelley Free and a seven-member Board of Education.
Kiamichi Tech is part of the Oklahoma CareerTech system, which offers programs and services in 29 technology center districts and operates on 59 campuses across the state. CareerTech plays a vital role in developing a world-class workforce for Oklahoma employers and prepares Oklahomans to succeed in the workplace, in education and in life.
