LeFlore County Historical Society is pleased to announce the newest exhibit at the LeFlore County Museum at Hotel Lowrey.
The exhibit is a collaborative effort between the EAST Initiative program at Kiamichi Technology Center in Poteau and the LeFlore County Museum at Hotel Lowrey.
The exhibit will feature the Choctaw Nation and its Faith, Family and Culture values.
The students have done the research, including interviews with Chief Batton, and Dr Ian Thompson, Tribal Preservation Officer.
They designed the exhibit, printed the information and will present their exhibit to the public on April 30th at 6:00 PM.
The exhibit will be on display at the LeFlore County Museum at Hotel Lowrey for the next two months.
This exhibit was possible through funding from the Smithsonian Institution’s Museum on Main Street program – Key Ingredients.
Kelly Falkner, EAST Instructor stated she was thrilled they were asked to participate in this Museum on Main Street Program.
