Two local students were among the top 100 high school seniors in Oklahoma honored as Academic All-Staters at the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence Academic Awards Banquet, held recently in Oklahoma City. The Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence is a statewide nonprofit that recognizes and encourages academic excellence in Oklahoma’s public schools.
Le Flore High School ACT prep teacher and Quiz Bowl coach Laura Earls (left) congratulates LeFlore High School student Marshall Barnett, an Academic All-Stater during the Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence Academic Awards Banquet, held recently in Oklahoma City. Barnett, a 2022 graduate of Le Flore High School, was among 100 outstanding seniors from Oklahoma public schools who were honored by the foundation as Academic All-Staters. He received an Academic All-State scholarship sponsored by Steve and Pam Holton of Poteau. Earls was Barnett’s honored teacher guest at the banquet.
Also honored was Heavener High School student Sean Miller.
