Cameron, Oklahoma author Jane Luman is gaining attention for her growing collection of children’s books designed to do more than entertain, they are helping open the door for important conversations about inclusion, understanding, and kindness among children, parents, and educators.

Luman, creator of the Monkey Mae series, has recently released two impactful titles: Monkey Mae, Noble & Percie’s Farm of Strengths and Noble the Choppie King: A Mission of Love.

Monkey Mae, Noble & Percie’s Farm of Strengths introduces young readers to a variety of abilities, communication styles, and emotional differences through engaging animal characters. The book is intentionally written to help parents, teachers, and caregivers guide conversations with children about differences, acceptance, and the importance of inclusion.

Her second book, Noble the Choppie King: A Mission of Love, focuses on kindness in action. Inspired by real-life efforts to bring comfort to animals in need, the story highlights compassion, generosity, and how even small acts can make a meaningful impact. It also serves as a natural conversation starter for families and classrooms about empathy, responsibility, and giving back.

“These books were created to help make hard or unfamiliar conversations easier,” said Luman. “They give parents and educators a way to connect with children, answer questions, and build understanding in a positive and approachable way.”

Designed as both stories and tools, Luman’s books are already resonating with families and educators who are looking for meaningful, age-appropriate resources to support emotional awareness, inclusion, and kindness.

As a local author and small business owner, Luman continues to create stories rooted in real-life inspiration, combining heart, humor, and purpose to make a lasting impact on young readers.

Luman is prioritizing placement of the books in classrooms, libraries, and church programs where these conversations are already happening and where the impact can be immediate.

A limited number of signed copies are also available for parents, educators, and caregivers in the area.
