United Country Real Estate, The Mixon Agency in Poteau donated $1000.00 to the Poteau Valley Humane Society.

Darali Mixon, said the money donated came from some old signage that they have been auctioning off. People within the company are really interested in purchasing these old signs. showing a little piece of nostalgia. “We have more vintage signs that we plan to auction off and use the proceeds for donations.

The two vintage signs they auctioned off brought $500.00 apiece and that money was presented to Rita Michaeli, President of the Poteau Valley Humane Society.

United Country has been going strong for over 90 years and the Mixon agency has been in business in Poteau offering real estate brokerage services for 65 years specializing in residential, farms, ranches, recreational, cabins, commercial.

United Country Realty was founded under the name United Farm Real Estate, it changed names to United National Real Estate to reflect its expansion into suburban neighborhoods in 1986 and in 1990 and changed its name again to United Country.

About Poteau Valley Humane Society (PVHS):

PVHS is serviced, organized, and run by volunteers.
Volunteering is very beneficial to the animals whether is to get them socialized, keep the facility clean, or to provide food and water to the kennels. The need for volunteers is endless.
If you would like to become a volunteer, we welcome local members of the community. Go by the shelter for more information.
