Poteau,OK – Kiamichi Tech Center in Poteau is pleased to announce Tyrel McNatt as Culinary Arts Instructor.
McNatt attended Culinary Arts School at OSU –Okmulgee from 1996- 1998.
He was the head os the 32nd Floor Italian Restaurant at the Summit Club in Tulsa, directly out of Culinary School.
He worked as a Chef and fish cutter at BoDeans Seafood in Tulsa, was the Executive Chef for Guckenheimer at American Airlines in Tulsa, and the Executive Chef and Restaurant Manage for Chesapeake Energy for 12.
He has a long list of accomplishments: in 2000 He was District Chef completion Winner in the Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas and Oklahoma division. One of only seven chefs to be selected across the United State for the Chef Advisory board for Maple Leaf Farms, McNatt was invited for the OSU Hotel and Restaurant Distinguished Chef Series in both 2008 and 2014 and the People Choice Winner of the 2022 BBQ Smackdown held in Poteau on September 24th.
His favorite foods to prepare changes from time to time but, homemade pasta and authentic ramen are his current favorites. He also enjoys preparing seafood and Cajun Cuisine.

The LeFlore County Historical Society is pleased to have Chef Tyrel McNatt, of Kiamichi Tech (Poteau Campus) providing one of the many dishes that will be prepared for The Taste of LeFlore County coming on October 11, 2022.
