A statement was issued on August 15, 2023, by another funeral home in our town making it look like Jan Cook is working for them full time.
This has created confusion for many people who have seen Jan at work here at Holt when they’ve visited or have seen her pictures with me in our advertisements.
The statement issued today isn’t accurate and it’s a terrible misrepresentation. So, with this joint statement, Jan and I will clear up any confusion that may have been caused by this earlier statement.
Last week Jan and I traveled to Muskogee to buy products and today we worked putting up pictures and preparing for our new business to open on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.
But let me say this so everyone knows how I work as a funeral director. Our mission is to serve people, all people!
Jan Cook loves people and she has served the people in this area for 56 years. So as Funeral Director, I will always be supportive 100 % in Jan going to help any family who calls on her specifically for her help, even if it’s at the other funeral home in our community, because of Jan’s great service and loving heart for families.
This is something that I support and it’s what Jan and I agreed on in the beginning. I’m sorry that a statement was issued trying to misrepresent Jan’s loving heart.
Holt Funeral & Cremation is in the business of helping people and any of us here at Holt will always be available to a family in need even if it’s at another funeral home.
So, to clear up any confusion. Jan Cook works full time for Holt Funeral & Cremation, and when a family calls on Jan for her help in serving their family, I totally support her or anyone on my team helping any family who makes a request for their help.
