Bigfoot has gone International
Igor Burtsev of Russia will be a speaker at the Honobia Bigfoot Festival & Conference on Friday, Oct. 04, 2019 and Saturday, Oct. 05, 2019. The event is in the beautiful woods of the Kiamichi Mountains Christian Mission (Christ 40 acres), Highway 144 and Indian Highway, Honobia, Ok.
Burtsev is a retired professor with a Ph.D. in history, president of the Cryosphere Fund and director of the International Center of Hominology, Moscow, Russia. He began hominoid research in 1965.
He has led search expeditions and researches in the North Caucasus, Balkaria, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Leningrad and elsewhere in Russia. He also spent weeks studying Bigfoot encounters in the US and Canada.
His latest book is, Approaching Bigfoot: Siberian Kuzbass and Beyond.
Tickets to the conference are sold daily at the door.
The Bigfoot Festival offers a variety of activities for those simply seeking fun.
Helicopter rides will be offered on Saturday only.
Visitors enjoy live music, handcrafted arts and crafts, a Kid’s Zone, a nature walk, delicious food, and family-friendly entertainment.
The Choctaw Nations Health Services will be giving free flu shots on Saturday to everyone, tribal or non-tribal.
Prove you dared to attend with official festival and conference apparel and souvenirs at the Bigfoot Outpost in the steel tent.
Church services will start at 10 am on Sunday morning, and all are welcome.
Guests with first-hand encounters share stories without ridicule around the campfires on Friday and Saturday night. Oklahoma Bigfoot sightings and reports from other states are exchanged.
You can enjoy primitive camping in the woods near where Bigfoot dwells. The campground allows tents as well as limited RV camping with electric hookups, available by advance reservations through the Kiamichi Mountain Christian Mission.

The Bigfoot Conference features other prominent Bigfoot researchers: R. Scott Nelson, Ron Morehead, M. K. Davis and John Vanderventer.
If you are training to run after a Sasquatch, you may wish to enter the Bigfoot 5K on Saturday, Oct. 5. The Choctaw 5K will be starting and finishing at the Honobia Community Center this year.

This unique Oklahoma event been educating and entertaining visitors for nearly a decade. The Honobia festival was named the No. 1 Bigfoot Fest in the nation by “The Hauntist,” an Internet blog. Accommodations nearby are listed on the website honobiabigfoot.com
The Honobia Bigfoot Organization is a non-profit group which partnered with the Chahta Foundation and the Tuskahoma Masonic Lodge No. 491 to bring scholarships to students Smithville, Battiest, Clayton, Talihina and Buffalo Valley.
