One injured in accident near Red Oak in Latimer County Featured

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a two vehicle injury accident occurred on August 23, 2021 at approximately 7:11am on Oklahoma Highway -270, 3.5 west of Red Oak in Latimer County.

According to the report, a 2019 Hino box truck , driven by Christopher L. Dungan 22, of McAlester and a 1990 Mazda pickup driven by John D. Christian Jr 58, of McAlester were both traveling eastbound, the Mazda pickup was traveling slower than the box truck and Dungan, served left and struck the pickup. Causing the pickup  to roll ½ times.

Christian was transported by Air-Evac to St Francis Hospital in Tulsa. OK with head, trunk internal injuries. He was listed in stable condition.

Dungan was not injured.

The accident was Investigated by OHP and assisted by Latimer County Sheriff’s Department.
