According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a injury collision accident occurred on February 15, 2023 at approximately 7:34 am on State Highway 112, approximately one mile east of Cameron, OK, in LeFlore County.
According to the report, a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Thomas J. Whitecotton 44, of Cameron, was traveling westbound on State Highway 112, when he fell asleep, departed roadway right and struck a tree.
Whitecotton was transported by AirEvac to Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, AR, with multiple injuries.
According to the report, Whitecotton was extricated by Hogeye Fire Department by breaking driver’s side window.
The accident was investigated by OHP, the LeFlore County Sheriff’s Department, Pocola Police Department and Hogeye Fire Department.
