According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a head-on collision occurred on August 16, 2019 at approximately 5:09 am on State Highway 9, one mile west of Stigler, in Haskell County.
According to the report, a 2020 Volvo driven by Juan Alvarez 51, of Dallas Texas was traveling westbound on SH 9 and a 2001 Jeep Cherokee driven by Dakota Dugan 26, of Pocola was traveling eastbound on SH 9 when he crossed center line and hit the Volvo head-on.
Dugan was transported by Tulsa Life Flight to St Francis Hospital in Tulsa and was admitted in critical condition with head, arm, leg, trunk internal and trunk external injuries.
The accident was investigated by OHP, Haskell County Sheriff’s Department, Stigler Fire, Pafford EMS and Tulsa Life Flight.
