Ya know, I try to keep Live Music posted around the area. The full-time hard working bands and combos have been focus. But I have neglected some of the get-togethers that are just for the pure joy of playing music with others. The Jam Sessions have been around for as long as I can remember. My Uncle Frank and Aunt Bert Wiles had a Jam at there house. The Plummers Started one down in Hoot Owl Holler on Holsom Valley Road and lasted for years. Red and Jeri Earls hosted one and there would be over 20 pickers and singers show up on Sat. nite. Hank Abbott hosted one until he passed it on to son, Dave.

I haven’t mentioned any of them for a while. Prob since Lockdown. So next week, I’ll offer up the list of dates, times, locations and contacts. I have asked a couple of friends that are frequently seen and heard at some of them, every week. Pickings on both sides of the line. If ya know of one, send me info to the email or text my cellphone. Help a brother out.

“The Stagemasters” kick off the weekend on Friday 11th at Dawn’s/Red Oak. The guys will play for the dance, Classic Country and some R&R, too. It starts at 7 pm. On Sat. 12th, “Make It a Double” will be there. The cute couple are still married, still git along and still make some awesome music. 7 pm is the start. See ya there

“Mac Moad and Silent Thunder” will be playing at Muldrow City Limits this Sat. 12th. This band has an entertaining show that’s just filled with Classic Country songs that’ll make ya wanna fall in love, Dance or Both. The crew has made a couple of changes that will keep the heat down and keep ya comfortable even if ya get out on the floor every dance. Music starts at 7 pm.

Down the road from Rock Island, Oklahoma, there will be music at Crocky’s Cafe in Hackett Ark. On Fri 11th “Big Rev” takes the stage. Good family entertainment that will lift ya up and keep the faith. “Come Now is the Time”. Then on Sat 12th, “59 South” , Randy Fennell and Ben Brand bring their music for all to enjoy. Music starts both nites at 6 pm.

My good friends, Mj and the Geezers” play Downtown Poteau at the Rough Day Brewing Company. Inside and cool, with different craft beers available. Really nice place that has remodeled the old KLCO radio Station and the rustic look fits well. The Geezers play some awesome music and MJ has a singing style that’s all her own. You will enjoy their sound. Music from 7-10 pm.
