According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a Panama man was injured in an accident that occurred at 6:07pm on November 13, 2020 on Morris Creek Road approximately 3 miles north of Heavener, OK. in LeFlore County.
According to the report, a 1986 Chevy Pickup driven by Eugene Butler, 18 of Panama, was south bound on Morris Creek road, when the vehicle departed the roadway to right and over-corrected departing the roadway to the left and then rolling an unknown number of times. Butler was injected from the vehicle.
He was transported by LeFlore County EMS to Mercy Hospital in Ft. Smith, AR. Admitted in critical condition with head, arm, leg, trunk internal and trunk external injuries.
Butler was pronounced dead at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, AR on November 14, 2020 at 09:22pm
The accident was investigated by OHP, LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office, Heavener Fire Department, and Leflore County EMS.
