Poteau 7th & 8th Grade Center Announces December 2023 Students of the Month

The Poteau 7^th & 8^th Grade Center (SEC) Students of the Month (SOM) are nominated by and selected by the teachers at SEC.

The December 2023 SOM are 7^th graders Katy Jordan & Noah Bennetzen and 8^th graders Madison Latham & Gehrig Snipes.

Katy is the daughter of Gary Jordan and Sarah Jordan. Her electives are athletics, FACS, and choir. Katy likes school “because I get to learn more about what I am interested in, and I get to see my friends.” She is a member of Gifted & Talented, Academic Team, Student Council, NJHS, and FCCLA.

Noah is the son of Jordan Bennetzen and Phillip Bennetzen. His electives are PE, STEM, and art. Noah likes school “because it is a place I can truly be me.”

Madison Latham is the daughter of Tiffany and Randall Latham. Her electives are library, computer apps, and leadership. Madison likes school “because It gives me a chance to learn new things and I can spend time with my friends.” She is a member of Gifted & Talented, Student Council, NJHS, Library Staff, Cheerleading, and FCCLA.

Gehrig is the son of Stefany and Richard Snipes. His electives are athletics, intro to agriculture, and library. Gehrig likes school “because I get to hang out with my friends and get to have good teachers like the teachers here at my school.” He is a member of Student Council, NJHS, Science Club, Gifted & Talented, and Library Staff.
