The Poteau 7th & 8th Grade Center has chosen their Students of the Month for February.
After the counselors gather teacher recommendations, teachers cast their vote for the students they think best exhibit the qualities highlighted each month.
This month’s seventh grade SOM are Keynlee Harris and Carson Cohen. The February 8th grade SOM are Gracie Flores and Braylon Bartels.
Keynlee Harris is the daughter of Brad Harris and Amber Carpenter and Bonus Mom Layken Carpenter. Her electives are basketball, art, and keyboarding. Keynlee likes school “because it’s fun and I love all the teachers. She is a member of NJHS and FCCLA.
Carson Cohen is the son of Tracy Cohen. His electives are STEM and keyboarding. Carson likes school “because it’s interactive with the people around you. It prepares you for what’s ahead.”
Gracie Flores is the daughter of Samuel Flores Cruz and Marcia Carson. Her electives are library staff, art, and FACS. Gracie likes school “because I get to see my friends and learn some stuff.” She is a member of Reading Club, Library Staff, and FCCLA.
Braylon Bartels is the son of Afton and Justin Pickle. His electives are tech ed, STEM, and computer apps. Braylon likes school “because most of the time I learn something”. He is a member of NJHS and Science Club.
