Positively Poteau Cruise Night and First Friday On Main Street Friday, June 5th 7:00 p.m.
(POTEAU, OKLAHOMA) – Here it is… What everyone is waiting for! Car enthusiasts these past months of working on your favorite ride now is the time to take it to the streets and cruise. The Positively Poteau Cruise Night and First Friday On Main Street will give all of us that have been cooped up and chance to get out and let our hair down and enjoy cruising with friends.
All activity will start at 7:00 p.m. with cruising on Broadway from North at Wal-Mart – to the South at The Donald W. Reynolds Center and down Main Street, Dewey Ave. We have some seasoned cruisers out there that will be leading the way. All types of vehicles are welcomed.
The First Friday on Main Street will also start music in the pocket park at 7:00 p.m. Music will feature College Band Heroes with leader Aaron Emberton and his wife, Carrie. There could be dancing in the streets and on the sidewalks once Aaron and the bands energy gets shifted into gear. The music line-up will have songs for everyone’s taste.
You can guarantee Aaron will take it to the end with high octane energy. Poteau Main Street will have concessions with beer & wine in the pocket park with an extended area on main street leaving ample room for social distancing. Bring lawn chairs for your own seating if needed. Those that want to stop for a break from cruising and talk with friends can park at the Donald W. Reynolds Center Parking Lot, At City Hall Parking Lot and in the parking spaces on Dewey (Main Street).
We ask that everyone abide by the city laws. Safe Driving is heavily enforced. While parked with friends please take in consideration the social distancing rules. This will be the 1st in lots more fun coming to Poteau Main Street Matters and Poteau Chamber. As with any event it takes money to make it happen. The Cruise Night is Free. Concessions with Beer and Wine served by Poteau Main Street. When everyone comes out to participate and support the events each time, this helps to bring bigger things to our area.
