On December 10, 2019, the Poteau Chamber of Commerce held their final meeting for 2019 and introduced the 2020 board members.
Outgoing chairman Michael Culwell from The Kiamichi Technology Center, recognized the outgoing board members, Brenda Sheets from The Community State Bank and Teresa Lovins from Dobson Technologies.
The new Chamber Board chairman is Peggy Adams, from Adams Abstract. Adams introduced the new incoming board members Jennifer Sommers, The Community State Bank, Kreg Haney, The Choctaw Nation and returning for another term is Darenda Joseph, The Choctaw Nation and Poteau Attorney, Sara Jordan.
The 2020 Executive Committee is: Chairman Peggy Adams, Vice Chair Ashby Mize, from Watson Motors, Past Chair Michael, Member at Large, Chris Ward and Secretary Thomas Cunningham, Poteau Attorney.
