POTEAU OKLAHOMA – The Mayor of Poteau, Scotty White, presented several service pins to employees during the July 5, 2022, City Council meeting.
Receiving 20 year service pins were: Poteau Police Chief Stephen Fruen and Assisant Fire Chief Jay Sommers of the Poteau Fire Department.
Billy Cook with the Poteau Area Recreation Center received a 15 year service pin, while Jody Thompson, Billy Hooper and Brandon Richie with the Poteau Police department received 10 year service pins.
Sheila Schneider received a 5 year service pin for her employment with the Poteau Nutrition Center.

The board also approved the retirement of Poteau Police officers James Sprabery and Michael Jackson who are retiring after 25 years with the department.
The council also approved the resignation of Officer Jerimy Emmert who has worked 10 years for the Poteau Police Department. The police department also hired Yaquelin Aquero and Stephanie Syrock.
The council also approved the resignation of Dustin Armstrong as a volunteer firefighter and Sec/ Treasurer and promoted Jeff Gibson as Sec/ Treasurer for the Fire Dept.
