The city of Poteau will have a new Mayor as the voters in Poteau have elected Scotty White as their new Mayor
He wins with 584 votes or 45.8% as his opponents received:
Chris Ford 413 votes or 32.39%
Jarrod Ridenour 240 votes or 18.82%
Jack Scott Jr 38 votes or 2.98%
In the race for Poteau City Council Clay Bennett will keep his Ward 1, Seat 2 position.
Bennett received 521 Votes and 47.02%. His opponent Rodney Darnell received 222 votes or 17.66% and opponent Mick LaFevers received 444 votes or 35.32%
Matt Lamb will continue to sit on the Poteau City Council, winning back his Ward 3 Seat 2 position.
Lamb received 57.67% with 722 votes. Opponents Don Harmon received 483 votes receiving 38.59%, while Ron Lamar Sr, received 47 votes at 3. 75%.
“I want to congratulate Matt Lamb on a very good campaign race and all the best for the next four years,” said Don Harmon. “I want to thank everyone for all the support and votes I received from each and every one of you.”
Coach Earl Jobe wins Poteau School Board Seat with 787 votes or 56.21% beating Sally Ann Hutchinson who received 613 votes or 43.79%
Jim Seale will remain Poteau Street Commissioner with 946 votes at 80.1% to Bobby Woodson who received 235 votes at 19.9%

I have enjoyed serving the last four years and look forward to my next four,” said Seale. “I want to say thank you to those who have helped either financially or given their time to help with my campaign. I will continue to work hard every day to make Poteau a better place to live, and I will assure you that I do not take this responsibility lightly.
