This campaign was spearheaded by Mr. Tommy Robinson after he and I spoke about the need to replace the old lights. Tommy not only sponsored the first light, but also challenged his fellow councilmen to do the same.
The city then stepped in and upgraded the light poles so that we now have electricity on all 16 poles (originally we only had 11 poles with power!). Currently the campaign has successfully funded twelve of the sixteen lights!
Additionally, 1 of the 4 remaining has a committed sponsor! This means that we have room for three more sponsorships. If you’re interested in sponsoring one of the final three snowflakes, contact our office at 918-647-8648.

We are in the process of having metal plaques made for the light poles. These plaques will hang on the poles year round while the lights will go up every November and come down the following February. These are LED lights that should last at least 10 years. That, plus the plaque being displayed year round, makes this a great investment! We hope you enjoy the new winter lights!!
