The Poteau Musical Arts celebrated another successful Trivia Night scholarship fundraiser on February 7th. We are excited to be able to continue giving our music scholarships to deserving seniors planning to continue their study of music at the collegiate level.
Three teams, with the creative names of The Rolling Loans, Thunder, and New Quiz on the Block, went head-to-head on 10 categories of trivia questions. Raegan Thomas did an excellent job of selecting categories with challenging trivia questions from World Wonders & Weird Facts; Catch Phrases & Quotes; Books, Authors, & Story Worlds; Gone, but Not Forgotten; Misremembered Moments; Commercial Break Classics; Sports Through the Decades; Soundtrack of Our Lives; A Little Bit of Everything; Myth or Fact? Open Answer Edition, for the 2026 Trivia Night fundraiser.
We congratulate The New Quiz on the Block team on their win of the Trivia Night Trophy. The winning team members included Becky Adams, Karen Nixon, David Nixon, David Stone, Meredith Price, Campbell Thompson, Asher Kauk, Brenna Adams, Brandy Thompson, and Caroline Thompson.
Thank you to the First Freewill Baptist Church for providing the Trivia Night facility, the music club members/volunteers for providing refreshments, along with grading game sheets, and Taylor Schmidt for being the evening MC.
