On July 2, 2020 at 5:46pm, Poteau Police Officers were dispatched to Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center on a call of a patient with a gunshot wound in the emergency room.
On arrival, Patrol Officers learned that the 40 year old male victim was deceased.
The victim had multiple gunshot wounds and wounds of unknown origin.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Three persons of interest have been detained in connection with the incident.
The investigation is ongoing with Poteau Police Detectives, Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation Agents, and an Investigator from the Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner working the case.
