Poteau Public Schools’ 7th and 8th Grade Center (SEC) has chosen their Students of the Month (SOM) for October. The seventh grade SOM are Emma Waddell and Daxton Roberts. The eighth grade SOM are Piper Waymire and Kevin Poor.
Emma is the daughter of Rachel Waddell and Kenneth Waddell. Her electives are Athletics and FACS. She likes school because “I get to spend time with my friends”. Emma is a member of the Cheerleading team.
Daxton is the son of Jeff Roberts and Jennifer Roberts. His electives are FACS and Band. He likes school because “It’s a great learning environment and I love my electives”. Daxton is a member of Student Council and FCCLA.
Piper is the daughter of Brittany and Jason Waymire. Her electives are Art, FACS, and Leadership. Piper likes school because “I get to see my friends and interact with people”. She is a member of NJHS and FCCLA.
Kevin is the son of Kevin Poor and Amber Poor. His electives are Band and Computer Apps. Kevin likes school “this year because on October 27, 2023, the Five Nights at Freddy’s Movie comes out. I’ve been waiting for this since I was 6”. He is a member of Science Club.
