Wilson Music Academy is a place where musicians of all ages grow not only in skill, but in confidence, creativity, and character. Founded with a heart for both excellence and encouragement, WMA provides high-quality private music instruction in a faith-filled, family-centered environment. The teaching team, Tannah, Cade, Chloe, and Jesse, are the 3rd generation of Wilson family teachers which spans 65 years. They come from a family of musicians and have been playing their entire lives. As local artists, they use their gifts to serve the Lord through their home churches, travel to share music in other communities, and work professionally as contract musicians.
At WMA, they’ve built a program that bridges the discipline of classical training with the flexibility of contemporary playing—equipping students to become well-rounded musicians who aren’t limited to one style, genre, or setting. Whether students are pursuing worship music, songwriting, performance, or foundational technique, the team is passionate about helping them grow into confident, capable musicians who use their gifts with purpose and joy.
That same passion for music and ministry is what inspired Camp Jam, their student summer experience.
When Tannah, one of the owners of WMA, first attended Camp Electric in Nashville, TN in 2014, she was immediately drawn into a world where music and faith intertwined. Founded by the renowned TobyMac alongside other Christian artists, Camp Electric is more than just a music camp, it’s a vibrant community where aspiring young musicians learn directly from some of the most influential artists in Christian music. That experience lit a fire in Tannah’s heart to bring that same energy, spirit, and purpose back home.
Over the years, she worked her way into higher roles within the Camp Electric team, eventually serving alongside staff and artists themselves. As well as some of the most renowned producers in the music industry. In doing so, she developed lasting friendships and deep connections within the Christian music industry, connections that continue to inspire her work at WMA.
She’s not alone in this journey. Two other WMA teachers, Chloe and Cade, have also attended Camp Electric. Cade is now following in Tannah’s footsteps, working his way toward an internship position with the camp in 2026.
Over the years, Tannah and Cade have brought many of their own students to experience Camp Electric firsthand. This year, two of those students joined them and returned home transformed, inspired, motivated, and eager to pour into their local community. Now, they’re stepping into leadership roles as Camp Jam interns, bringing that Camp Electric energy to our own hometown stage.
Camp Jam is the natural extension of everything Wilson Music Academy stands for: a space where young musicians can grow in their craft, deepen their faith, and discover the joy of using their talents to serve something bigger than themselves.
Camp Jam is a fun-filled music camp for kids ages 5–12, happening July 14–18! While the deadline to get a camp shirt has passed, you can still register online or in person when you arrive.
