The Poteau Chamber is hosting a public forum on the continuance of existing ½ of 1% county sales tax for funding LeFlore County Detention Center and Seat #4 of the Poteau Public School Board of Education. The public forum will be hosted at the Bob Lee Kidd Performing Arts Center on January 30th at 6:00 PM.
At the start of the forum information will be given about the continuation of the existing county sales tax and an opportunity will be available for public comments or questions. Poteau Public Schools has three individuals running for seat #4 in the upcoming election. The candidates will be asked a series of questions designed to inform the voters of their knowledge and readiness to serve on the Board of Education for Poteau Public Schools.
The Election is February 13th with poles opening at 8:00 a.m.
Early Voting will begin at the Election Board Location Thursday, February 8th 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Friday February 9th 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
There will not be any early voting on Saturday with this election.
