According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a fatality accident occurred August 17, 2022, at approximately 1:21 pm on US-271 approximately 3 Miles South of Summerfield in LeFlore County.
According to the report a 2020 Chevrolet Spark, driven by Charles Harding age 86, from Nashoba was pronounced dead at the scene by Leflore County EMS. The Medical Examiner was advised, and his body was transported to Mcarn Funeral Home in Talihina, Ok.
According to the report, Harding was traveling southbound on US-271 and a 2018 Ford F150 driven by Ryan Green 46, of McAlester, was traveling northbound on US-271. Harding went left of center into the northbound Lane. Green swerved into the southbound lane to avoid the Chevy. Then Harding corrected back into the southbound lane and the Chevy struck the Ford Pickup
Ryan Green was treated and released from Talihina Medical Center, his passenger, Ross Green, 50, from Talihina, was transported to Talihina Medical Center where he was listed in stable condition with trunk and internal injuries
The accident was Investigated by OHP, the LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office and the LeFlore Fire Department.
