The weather was great but the fish were a bit tight lipped this year at the 6th Annual Spiro Fire Department Bass Tournament which resulted in some lighter weight totals than the previous years. All-in-all it was a great success, besides a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work!
We had a total of 63 bass checked in with a combined weight with over 150 pounds one of those being the “Youth Big Bass” won by Karlynn Anderson of Panama. 4th Place went to Brandon Ward, Oakley Ward, and Trey Rogers at 11.03 pounds with 3rd place coming in at 11.74 by BJ Harper and Duane Fisher. Jeff Clark and Frank Stewart scooped up the 2nd place finish with 12.09 pounds, leaving 1st place and big bass open for Nathan Grant and Grant Baskette with a big bass weight of 4.7 pounds and a total bag weight of 12.69
A huge THANK YOU goes out to all of the participants and our sponsors for making this possible. Thank you Jody Ray Adams and Rhyno Gear for the award plaques, Make-A-Wake Bait & Tackle, and as usual we want to thank Walter Holloway with the AR HawgHunters Bass Club for his continued help and support.
